This easy-to-make cocktail is sure to impress at any party this summer. This recipe is simple to make and you can be ready to serve in minutes!

Hot Chili Bloody Mary

Ingredients (4 Servings):

  • 2 tbsp Roots Spice Blend
  • 16-24 ounces tomato, clamato, or vegetable juice (or any combination of the three)
  • 1 cup vodka or cucumber flavored vodka
  • Dash of Sriracha spicy sauce (or other chili-inspired sauce)

Garnishes (optional):

  • Sea salt and celery salt
  • Celery stalks
  • Cocktail onions
  • Lemons cut into circles
  • Green olives (preferably stuffed)

Blend well. Pour both the mix and the vodka into a pitcher. The traditional Roots Bloody Mary recipe recommends 4-6 ounces of juice per serving. I use 5 ounces of juice per service when hosting a crowd. Add the spicy sauce now or let guests give their drink a personal flair. Using a celery stalk, stir the mixture until blended then enjoy the tasty snack. Pour the sea salt and celery salt onto a small plate or other vessel to rim the the glasses. Wet the glasses with the lemon pieces then dip into the salt mixture. Fill the glasses with ice and pour over the pitcher of mix. Serve with the onions, celery, olives and lemons to garnish. If you choose to enjoy the cucumber vodka, make sure to have some real sliced cucumbers on hand to enjoy with your cocktail!

All set! You're ready to enjoy the long summer days on the patio with a cool, delicious drink in hand.
